(호 7:1) 내가 이스라엘을 치료하려 할 때에 에브라임의 죄와 사마리아의 악이 드러나도다 그들은 거짓을 행하며 안으로 들어가 도둑질하고 밖으로 떼 지어 노략질하며

(호 7:2) 내가 모든 악을 기억하였음을 그들이 마음에 생각하지 아니하거니와 이제 그들의 행위가 그들을 에워싸고 내 얼굴 앞에 있도다

(호 7:3) 그들이 그 악으로 왕을, 그 거짓말로 지도자들을 기쁘게 하도다

(호 7:4) 그들은 다 간음하는 자라 과자 만드는 자에 의해 달궈진 화덕과 같도다 그가 반죽을 뭉침으로 발효되기까지만 불 일으키기를 그칠 뿐이니라

(호 7:5) 우리 왕의 날에 지도자들은 술의 뜨거움으로 병이 나며 왕은 오만한 자들과 더불어 악수하는도다

(호 7:6) 그들이 가까이 올 때에 그들의 마음은 간교하여 화덕 같으니 그들의 분노는 밤새도록 자고 아침에 피우는 불꽃 같도다

(호 7:7) 그들이 다 화덕 같이 뜨거워져서 그 재판장들을 삼키며 그들의 왕들을 다 엎드러지게 하며 그들 중에는 내게 부르짖는 자가 하나도 없도다

(Hs 7:1) "Whenever I would restore the fortunes of my people, whenever I would heal Israel, the sins of Ephraim are exposed and the crimes of Samaria revealed. They practice deceit, thieves break into houses, bandits rob in the streets;

(Hs 7:2) but they do not realize that I remember all their evil deeds. Their sins engulf them; they are always before me.

(Hs 7:3) "They delight the king with their wickedness, the princes with their lies.

(Hs 7:4) They are all adulterers, burning like an oven whose fire the baker need not stir from the kneading of the dough till it rises.

(Hs 7:5) On the day of the festival of our king the princes become inflamed with wine, and he joins hands with the mockers.

(Hs 7:6) Their hearts are like an oven; they approach him with intrigue. Their passion smolders all night; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.

(Hs 7:7) All of them are hot as an oven; they devour their rulers. All their kings fall, and none of them calls on me.
